Ilham Aliyev received today newly appointed ambassadors of three states in Azerbaijan. They presented their credentials to the president, MIR 24 reports.

During a conversation with a diplomat from Moldova, Ilham Aliyev noted the fruitful interaction between the countries in the political sphere. In addition, he stressed the importance of increasing trade turnover.

In a conversation with the nuncio of the Holy See, Aliyev discussed the forthcoming opening of a separate Azerbaijani embassy in the Vatican. The sides also talked about Azerbaijan’s participation in the restoration of the historical sites of the Vatican, assessing this as the Republic’s contribution to intercultural dialogue.

At a meeting with the Libyan ambassador, the president noted that both countries always support each other on all issues within the framework of international organizations. The head of state also stressed the need to intensify cooperation in the economic, trade and energy sectors.
