firm Ferrari was declassified roadster SP51, which is the only one of its kind. It was built by Special Projects for a fan of the brand from Taiwan.
The supercar was based on the front-engined Ferrari 812 GTS. At the same time, the SP51, unlike this version, received a unique exterior design. Specialists of the Ferrari Design Center, under the leadership of Flavio Manzoni, developed a new look for the supercar especially for this project. The customer himself also participated in this. For modifications of the 812 GTS, as well as the SP51, the body panels do not intersect.
The novelty was made under the modern style of the brand. However, the exterior of the car still received a number of certain retro motives. For the roadster, a white-blue longitudinal strip is provided through the entire body part and the car interior. This is a direct reference to the 1955 Ferrari 410 S racing version.
Other highlights of the Ferrari SP51 include a custom-designed Rosso Passionale body color scheme. The model boasts an abundance of carbon inserts, as well as a black cross bar at the back of the seats. This is an imitation of the targa body used in the sixties on a number of Ferrari models. The interior of the vehicle was trimmed with Alcantara in body color. He got carbon inserts.
While there is no information about changes in the power plant. Ferrari Special Projects doesn’t usually do this. The roadster is equipped with a 6.5-liter V12 power plant that generates 800 horsepower. The engine is paired with a seven-speed manual transmission.
Finally, it should be noted that the model Ferrari 812 GTS presented in even more powerful versions. For example, we are talking about 812 VS. She is considered one of the most powerful models with internal combustion engines in the history of the brand. The motor of this modification was boosted to 830 horsepower. Thanks to this, the car accelerates to the first “hundred” in 3 seconds.
