Nissan has encountered a serious problem with a number of models equipped with the Jatco automatic transmission – it is installed on the Titan and Frontier, as well as the Z sports car. Cars with an automatic can inadvertently start moving into park mode. As a result, the automaker sent a warning to American dealers about a temporary ban on the sale of the listed vehicles and suspended their shipment.

A day earlier, Nissan announced a recall of the 2022 and 2023 Frontier and Titan for the same reason – more than 200,000 vehicles needed repairs. The defect was identified at the plant in Canton, Mississippi, during testing: then it was found that 11 of the 83 vehicles tested were affected by the problem. Now it turned out that the Nissan Z sports car, which in turn is produced at the Tochigi plant in Japan, can roll back in the parking lot.

Motor1.com reports that the company is at a loss to give a date for the resumption of shipments and car sales. This is due to the fact that the automaker has not yet found a solution to the rollback problem. It is also not known what percentage of Nissan Z vehicles have the same defect.
