Netherlands head coach Louis van Gaal spoke about the striker of the Catalan “Barcelona” Robert Lewandowski on the eve of the match with Poland in the group stage of the League of Nations.
“I think Robert Lewandowski is the best striker in the world,” the Dutch specialist told a press conference.
Louis van Gaal also spoke about Lewandowski’s teammate Frenkie de Jong, who could move to Manchester United this summer. De Jong and Barcelona had disagreements over the club’s financial debts to the player. At the press conference, Frankie answered questions about his career and attitude towards the team.
“Frankie looks very relaxed, with a sweet smile. He handled the press conference well. Fiction. I admire him,” van Gaal said.
The Netherlands team is in first place in their group of the League of Nations. The team won three victories and drew once, scoring 10 points in total in matches with Belgium, Poland and Wales.
