Nostalgia, the plot of Mario Martone’s movie

Felice Lasco has not set foot in his native Naples for 40 years. He was only 15 when his uncle suddenly put him on a plane. After building a life elsewhere for 40 years, the man returns to the Sanita district to find his elderly mother. I grew up in this old and difficult area.

After the death of his mother, Felice seemed to have no reason to stay in Naples. In Cairo, where he has lived for 20 years, he has his wife and a long-established construction company waiting for him to return. But wandering the streets of his neighborhood, befriending a belligerent parish priest, and rediscovering old acquaintances, he can no longer stray from his city. I feel something prompting me to face the past.
